Scripture

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. - Romans 12:10-13 (NKJV)

We are still alive!

What a whirlwind!  This semester has about five weeks left and it has been a great time!  These students are growing and leaning into the Lord which is such a blessing to see.  Since our last blog update a lot has happened.

Andrew served with a team that went to Camp Raglan which served over 110 children from the ages of 6 up to 15 years old.  It was a privilege to serve these kids, many coming from under-privilege homes as well as the foster care system.  Most of our students served as camp counselors and were with the kids 24 hours a day.  Andrew had the opportunity to serve in the kitchen and was on his feet most of the day.  The stories I’ve heard and the pictures I’ve seen tell me these kids needed this camp and the love that our team gave them.  Andrew came home exhausted but with great joy for what the Lord showed him while there.  Here are a few pictures from the some of the team.

Dawn served with a Calvary Chapel Ladies Leadership Retreat that CCBI put on for the ladies in leadership in the region.  The theme was based on Colossians 1:9-12 – walking worthy of the Lord.  Three churches were represented and lots of laughter, some tears, and lots of coffee and baked goods were shared.  It was a weekend of solidarity, rest, and refreshment in the Lord.  It was a fun time for Dawn to put her cardmaking and creative juices to work.  Here are a few pictures from that weekend.
The new pastor and his family at Shoreline Church, our home church in NZ, arrived in early October.  They are a sweet family and we are so excited to see what the Lord is doing at Shoreline.  They served in Uganda for many years and are transitioning into a new climate, culture, and church family.  Please keep Pastor Doug and his family in your prayers.

A perfect picture to capture the weekend.

CCBI will be moving to a new location for next semester!  We are so excited for the new location and can’t wait to start living there.  Here is a video of the announcement: New Location Announcement. River Lodge is quite lovely and very spacious.  We look forward to seeing what the Lord has instore for us as we continue to grow and learn.  Next semester starts at the end of January and this current semester ends December 9.  Time is of the essence so we covet your prayers for the move.  I can’t express how excited I am about this move.  Funny thing.. the location of the Ladies Leadership Retreat is the same location that we are moving to.  Small world!!  J

We are currently in the midst of the 4|12 Conference which is about equipping the saints.  Pastors from Colorado and Australia are here speaking and it is great to see the Lord moving.  There is a sweet expectation that something powerful is going to happen this week with all of the craziness that has been happening, so again, we would love your prayers!  The conference ends on Thursday night and then we start up a leadership weekend on Thursday night and run through Saturday at lunch.  It is a busy schedule, but with the Lord all things are possible.

Okay… so with all of that said.. I am sure I left off some things..  5 weeks of classes and then we pack up and move.  We love you and appreciate you!  We would love to hear from you too!!
